While I'm away from Japan, it seems Halloween has gotten popularity big time, though it looks to me more like cosplay event for adults than trick or treating for kids.
Japanese celebrate Christmas, now Halloween, Thanksgiving next maybe?
I was surfing the net and found this picture.
It says, "We will be closed on Thanksgiving day. However, we will be having dinner here at around 2pm with our family, employees, and friends. If you are hungry or don't have any money, please come in. We will welcome you and make sure you get plenty to eat."
What a generous gesture! That's the spirit of Thanksgiving!
By the way, I miss turkey dinner.
